Remembering Mary McDermott Hughes

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our founder, our mentor, our leader and our friend, Mary McDermott Hughes. Over 45 years ago Mary was employee #1 of Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson, Inc. Mary's life and career were filled with highlights, and they represent a true American success story. The Harley-Davidson brand is legendary and known worldwide as a genuine original. Mary, too, was legendary in her own right. And she was indeed a genuine original in her own right.

Mary's legacy is a life filled with love, kindness, charity, quiet leadership and fun ... finding fun in everything one does. And that legacy and that philosophy will be the beacon we follow at each of our Hampton Roads, Southside and Virginia Beach Harley-Davidson locations.

Thank you to our friends and family for the 45 years of love and fun. We look forward to celebrating together as we reach our 50th anniversary as well as the years beyond as your Legendary Harley dealer.
